Laughter

Have you ever met someone who has a great laugh? I lived with Alodie,who is well known for a loud contagious laugh. I remember times when she would start laughing, and then she would laugh at her laughing...and then we would all go down hill from there. I love those moments! Silly, stupid....laughing! Kellie, one of my teammates has one of those laughs. Jeremy and I both secretly try to bring up things she will find funny for that purpose. Today at team time, Kellie and I both got the giggles...over bread?! I don't know why, but it made my morning! Its hurts your face, makes you cry, and sometimes gives you a head-ache, but laughing is probably one of my favorite things! I was very thankful for whatever Kellie and I drank this morning! 
  Children are known to laugh a great deal more than adults: an average baby laughs around 300 times a day compared to an average adult, who laughs around 20 times a day.Laughter has been shown to lead to reductions in stress hormones such as cortisol and epinephrine. When laughing the brain also releases endorphins that can relieve some physical pain and leads to a stronger immune system.

Surrounded by sounds of horns, buses, and loud Chinese while walking down a crowded street can seem so foreign and a somewhat out of body experience. As we were walking down a shopping street trying to find our way, to my utter disbelief, I heard Backstreet Boys! Yes, I did stay and listen to the whole song, and it was wonderful! Not a Monk

How does someone know the Father has “called” them to something? I have always wondered what people had to do in order for them to be called or spoken to by the creator himself. I figured you had to be a monk or a pastor of some sort.             I remember when Jeremy and I were engaged and in pre-marriage counseling. Our pastor, of course, had to bring up China. This was a topic of so many discussions. Will we go back? (Probably a no) Do you want to go? (Definite no) Do you feel like the father would have you stay here in Evansville? (Yes, that is correct) I was not being “called “ to China. Nor did I feel like that was in my future.             I have always known that the Lord has made my heart special and that I felt as if he was going to do something different through me than an average young adult. Dance With Joy (lessons from my two-year-old #2)

You would have thought Lucy had won the lottery with the excitement she had while dancing and shaking with joy last night. After mentioning that we would be going to the play place with a friend in the morning she couldn’t handle the anticipation. We put her to bed at her usual 7:00 and she didn’t go to bed until 10:00. I remember that feeling as a kid. Too excited to sleep. Now a day , even if I am very excited, I am so exhausted, that I have no trouble sleeping.   Do you remember the last time you experienced that kind of joy or excitement?   I love watching Lucy’s pure joy! She holds nothing back; she has a full body reaction and doesn’t care what others are thinking about, she is just super excited.
