Home Sweet Home

The time has finally come to reveal what you all have been longing for......our home! I really wish I had taken before pictures, so you could see what all we did to the place. Here is the result of all our creativity and shopping trips back and forth from store to store. We don't have any decorations up yet, just the main necessity things...but soon I hope to add some color with pillows, art, and some throw blankets!!

    Have just now been able to watch this. You have done a beautiful job, sweet girl! Are those sheets dark purple? I love them! Very creative with the headboard - smart! I hope to see it in person soon. Miss you!

Chinese Fire Drill...

I now know where that comes from. The past two nights on our way home I have seen cars stopped with doors open at a red light, with people switching seats. They weren't racing or even in a slight hurry. I think they just thought to themselves.."I don't want to drive....so I am going to get in the back seat." haha anyways...I started laughing remembering as a kid friends talking about a chinese Firedrill. Its just ironical that i am in china and actually saw one.

New Home?

What to pack? If you have moved before you are aware of the excitement and stress that comes along with it! So far moving hasn't been the biggest stresser. I think what stresses me out is the fact that I am at my house but it no longer looks like or feels like home. The feeling of not having a comfort home is not a good one. I reminds me of a story one of my friends was telling me. It was about a missionary that was once asked about where her home was, since she moved all the time. She explained that through her time as a missionary the Father had shown her, this world never was suppose to be our home. That through moving over and over sharing the word she began to understand that meaning. Her home wasn't a present tangible place on the earth but it was in her heart and an eternal place. Angry Birds

The night began with J and I heading to Starbucks.He was meeting his bud and I was just going to enjoy the nice weather and improve my angry bird skills. You know that feeling you get when someone is watching you..I was feeling it pretty heavy. It may have been the breath of the Chinese kid over my shoulder or the nice sound affects he was making, but needless to say I was being watched. As I continued to pass levels, the noises got closer and closer until a chair was pulled up right next to me. I offered him to play, but he politely refused...the first time. The second time, he jumped at the offer. We instantly became friends. With the very little Chinese I know, we managed to play against and laugh at each other. He told me his name, age, and taught me the word for bomb. For an hour and a half I was able to make a friend without either one of us being able to speak to one another...all because of a popular game and probably because of my amazing angry bird skills! lol What a cool fee...
